RARE Vintage Synthetic Lab Grown Quartz - Bell Systems/ Western Electric -with two seed plates - weighs 900.4 grams - 5.5” long x 2.25” wide x 2” thick - has some chips as seen in the pictures - the seed plates measure 5.5” long x 1.5” wide x 1/16” thick - these were Bell Systems solution to the problem of finding fine quality quartz crystals for communication needs - awesome piece of history!
