RSS Auctions, LLC is always seeking quality consignments. If you have an item(s) you would like evaluated, please contact us for a free consultation. After consultation it will be determined if an item(s) is suitable for resale and how that may be processed. 

In today’s environment auctions/sales can be held in many different platforms. This may consist of a live off-site auction, on-site auction, online auction, private sale, estate sale, or buyout. This will be based on the initial consultation and the overall need of the client. Each platform has their own benefits.

Live Auction *:

Live auctions are the traditional auction where consignments are offered to live in-person, online, or a hybrid of both in person and online from a property hosted by RSS Auctions, LLC. Each lot is offered and sold to the highest bidder. These sales are typically held in one day.  

Online sale (not live) *:

The new wave. Online sales can be either offered as an auction style or for immediate sale. Items can remain in their current location. These styles of sales are offered through one or multiple online platforms. These sales are typically held for a minimum of 5 days.  

Estate Sale *:

A New England tradition. A live on-site sale where items are priced & staged at their current location for immediate purchase to attendees. These sales are typically held over a single or multi-day event.

Buy Out *:

A buy out is a single item to an entire estate offered for sale to RSS Auctions, LLC for an agreed upon value. These sales help with time constraints or item(s) that do not fit into another sale category.  

Private Sale:

A discrete purchase and sale opportunity where a consignment, that the consignor retains, meets a request of a prospective & verified buyer. There is no time frame for this type of sale.

*Times do not include initial preparation of sale or removal of items which can range from several days to weeks or months. Preparation time will be evaluated during consult.

Terms & Conditions

General:

Following terms run in conjunction with terms offered to you in AuctionNinja’s “User Agreement”. All sales are final. No refunds, returns, credits, or exchanges. Auctions may be modified, changed, or withdrawn at any time, at seller’s discretion. By bidding you understand and agree to all seller’s terms and any bids placed are a binding contract to purchase auction lot if buyer is winning bidder. All items sold “as-is, where-is” with no implied, written, or expressed guarantees and/or warranties. All items are described to the best of the seller’s ability. Any condition statement is given as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion, and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Seller shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. All pictures offered as part of condition statement. Any further inquiries on condition should be made to RSS Auctions, LLC before bidding.

Payment:

All payments processed through AuctionNinja.com.

Pick-up/Shipping:

Local free pick-up at designated location within assigned time frame. Any auction lot items not picked up during assigned time frame will be considered forfeiture.

RSS Auctions, LLC offers a professional in-house packing and shipping service and regularly pack and ship glass, ceramics, and antiques and collectibles of all types; however, we do not crate or pack/ship large and/or heavy objects (e.g., furniture, statuary) or items that are unusually fragile (i.e., severely cracked vase). If you are unsure if we can ship a lot for you, please ask before you bid. RSS Auction’s LLC does not assume that items are to be packed/shipped. We pack only upon request and after the buyer has confirmed the shipping address. No international shipping. All shipping is at buyer’s expense and offered via USPS Priority Mail or additional shipping method, if requested and approved by the seller at checkout. All items shipped require insurance and will be charged in shipping invoice. This is for the benefit and security of both the buyer and seller. Invoicing for shipping will be done via PayPal Goods & Services and due within 24 hours of receipt. Any invoice not paid within 24 hours will be considered forfeiture unless buyer contacts RSS Auctions, LLC and alternate arrangements are agreed upon. We will combine multiple items/lots for shipping whenever possible. Standard shipping charges include our packing fee, any applicable materials fee, and the cost of delivery with insurance based on the carriers’ current rates. Shipping cost is based on the final auction price, packing time, delivery zip/postal code, number, size, and weight of packages; therefore, actual shipping charges cannot be determined until the packing process is completed. Item(s) will be shipped within seven business days of cleared payment from shipping invoice. Please contact RSS Auctions, LLC. with any questions or for any further details.

Forfeiture:

If auction lot items cannot be picked up at designated location during assigned time frame or shipping invoice is not paid as stated in Shipping Terms, and an alternate agreement is not reached 2 hours prior to either shipping/pickup deadlines the item(s) will be considered forfeiture and RSS Auctions, LLC will retain possession.
