Founded by husband and wife team, Chris and Amanda, our business grew out of a shared passion for uncovering unique and valuable items and passing them on to new owners to appreciate and cherish. Q: When is payment due for items won in an auction?
A: Payment for all items won in an auction is due immediately upon close of the auction. As per our terms of service, your total invoice will be auto-debited from the credit card you have on file with our credit card processor, Stripe. This charge includes the hammer prices, buyer’s premiums, and all applicable sales tax for the items you won. The charge will display on your credit card statement as CARAuction.
Q: What happens if my payment is declined?
A: If your payment is declined due to incorrect information or lack of funds, your items will not be available for pickup until payment has been received. We understand that issues can arise, however, we do ask that you get any payment issues corrected by the start of the first pickup window.
Q: Do you offer shipping for items won in an auction?
A: Yes, we offer shipping within the United States for smaller items that have been previously discussed with CarolinaAntique. We ship through either USPS or UPS at the buyer's expense. Please note that a 15% handling and shipping materials fee will be added to the retail cost of shipping, and all orders over $100 will automatically be insured at the buyer's expense for the cost of the hammer price. CarolinaAntique is not responsible for any lost or broken items. All claims will need to be made by the buyer directly through UPS or USPS.
Q: How long will it take to receive my shipped items?
A: Once shipping payment has been received, items will ship out within 2 business days. Please note that we only ship items as a courtesy to our customers and ask for your patience during this time. Once the items have shipped, you will receive a copy of your tracking number.

Q: Can I return an item I won in an auction?
A: No, all sales are final. We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for items won in an auction. Please review the item description and photographs carefully before placing your bid.

Condition: All items are sold "As-Is, Where-Is." Bidders are responsible for inspecting photos and descriptions. Photos are considered part of the description.
Memorabilia & COAs: Carolina Antique does not guarantee the authenticity of signatures or collectibles. Any included Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is provided as-found; we do not warrant the validity of the COA or the third-party issuer. No refunds will be given based on post-sale third-party authentication results.
Auto-Debit: Winning invoices are auto-debited immediately via Stripe. The charge will appear as CARAuction.
Declined Payments: Items will not be released until payment is successful. Payment issues must be resolved before the start of the first pickup window.
Scheduling: All items must be picked up during the scheduled pickup times. Failure to pick up items during these windows will result in forfeiture of the item(s) without a refund. Your bidding privileges may also be permanently revoked.
Expedited Service: To expedite your pickup, please TEXT (do not call) 860-300-7504 with your name, invoice number, and planned arrival time at least 30 minutes prior to arrival.
Labor & Supplies: You are responsible for bringing your own packing materials, tools, tie-downs, and moving labor. Carolina Antique does not provide packing supplies. Professional labor may not be available; please bring enough manpower to safely transport your items.
Enter at Your Own Risk: Bidders and their agents enter the pickup premises at their own risk.
Waiver: Carolina Antique and the property owner are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damage to persons or vehicles occurring on-site. By participating in this auction and attending the pickup, you agree to hold Carolina Antique harmless from any and all liability.
Item Damage: Carolina Antique is not responsible for any damage to items that occurs during the loading or transport process.
Courtesy Shipping: Shipping is a courtesy for smaller items only. Bidders are strongly encouraged to request a shipping quote prior to bidding
No Refunds for Shipping Costs: Refunds will not be issued if the final shipping cost is higher than the bidder anticipated. It is the bidder’s sole responsibility to consider the weight, dimensions, and fragile nature of the items they are bidding on.
Fees / Liability: A 15% handling and materials fee is added to the retail cost of USPS or UPS shipping. All orders over $100 will include mandatory insurance at the buyer's expense. Carolina Antique is not responsible for any lost or broken items once the package is in the possession of the carrier. All insurance claims must be filed by the buyer directly with USPS or UPS.
