Items were well displayed in the photo's, and I appreciated that there were 2 days offered for Pick Up making it much easier on buyers. When I arrived there was only 1 person ahead of me for pick up, and it went very smoothly. I had quite a few items that I purchased and everything was accounted for and well orgainzed. Great service, thanks very much.

Thoroughly read each description of the Lego's - and although there is a disclaimer that "Contents not verified as complete" but also wording it as gently used and not displaying all the contents - making it appear complete. Upon inspection, lego sets are No where Near complete and during the picturing process this auction company could see that, yet did not declare - "Incomplete set" the 3 sets I bought might be worth 1/3 of what was paid for them tops. Pickup was a nightmare - texted 30 minutes before arriving, No signs at all directing folks where to go, a line 12 people deep and then it took them 30 minutes to locate all my item as they had zero organization and the reason given is "we are short of personnel" well hire more folks, that is what the huge 18% is for. Sorry but I just can't recommend this auction company, they need better more accurate description (even if that means lower bids) and better organization

Sarah Holloway is very unorganized. She had a two-day pickup on Saturday and Sunday. I picked up on Sunday and she had not separated auction lots. She was doing it the day of pickup. I bought a vase and a matching pair of candlesticks. Since she had not separated her auction bid lots she did not realize that she had sold the vase twice. She claims the vase was sitting on a cabinet and when the lady came to pick it up they gave her the vase also on Saturday. When I came to pick up on Sunday she realized her mistake that the vase was missing that matched my candlesticks she knew who she gave the vase to and said she would make an effort to call to recover it she asked if I wanted the candlesticks and I said no not without the matching vase. She said she would get the vase back but she would not go to strasburg Colorado to pick it up because it was too far and she didn't have time. She offered me the candlesticks for half price of the auction bid. I again said I did not want the candlesticks without the matching vase she said she would try to recover the vase if I wanted to go ahead and take the candlesticks and she would give me my $9 back. I told her I wanted the matching vase and I was willing to drive to Strasburg Colorado (since she refuses to go get it) to get it if she could arrange a pickup time and I would pay her the $9 for the entire auction lot. I took the candlesticks because she thought the lady would return the vase. 3 days later I get a call and she tells me that the lady will not respond to her message she left. Sarah Holloway Said to me on the phone that she was being generous by giving me back the $9 and that's all she could do. I responded that she really doesn't have a choice about giving me back the $9 since she did not provide me the vase I bought for $9. Sarah claims she refunded my $9 but not the 18% commission that she earned for the sale so she sold the item twice and the owner lost out on the $9 but she got double commission of 18% on both auction lots that had the vase in it. She should have refunded her commission also. I've purchased from many auction houses and this is the first time I've ever seen where they have not set out lots separately so to ensure that each number that they have assigned is completely together. This mistake could have been avoided if she was more organized and had the night before made sure that all of her numbers were accurate with the products that were supposed to be included with them but she did not. I do not recommend this auction house especially if you're selling your products she just leaves whatever's on the shelves of a cabinet and includes it in the auction instead of selling it separately. As far as I'm concerned she still owes me her 18% commission but she earned on the vase I didn't get. If you want to sell your cherished items I would recommend finding someone who does not group things altogether into a Big lot so that you can maximize your dollar returned. BEWARE SHE IS VERY UNORGANIZED AND DOESN'T HAVE THE TIME TO RECOVER THE VASE SHE ADMITS TO GIVING TO THE WRONG BIDDER. BUT SHE KEEPS HER 18% COMMISSION WHEN SHE MAKES A MISTAKE. IT'S THE CHARACTER OF SARAH HOLLOWAY.

Homestead Estate Services online auctions feature extended bidding (a.k.a. "soft close"). Is the closest way to mimic the actions of an live auctioneer in an online/automated format. During a live auction, the auctioneer gives bidders opportunities to increase their bids before hammering the winning bid (when there is no further interest in the lot).
Our online, automated system will automatically extend the closing time of a lot (auction item) whenever a bid is placed within the last five minutes of its scheduled closing to allow other interested bidders an opportunity to increase their bid (if the wish to do so).
This may occur multiple times on any given lot depending on bidder interest. Once all interest and bidding in a lot ceases, the clock will run out and the lot will close.
We are just a call away if you have any questions.
