FOC Books online auctions feature a soft close, extended bidding. The system will automatically extend the closing time of a lot when a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes of the scheduled closing. This allows interested bidders to increase thier bids if desired and eliminates the fear of "Sniping" where bidders jump in at the last second to grab the high bid. Once all interest in the item has run its course, the clock will run out and the lot will close.
