The property listed in this auction will be offered and sold by Girlfriends Estate Sales INC. (GES) as owner, or as "Agent for Consignor", subject to the terms and conditions set forth on this page.
GES reserves the right to change our terms & conditions at any point. It is your (the bidder) sole responsibility to stay informed on the most up-to-date amendments that are effective immediately, unless otherwise stated.
Should you decide to become a member of this site and become a buyer of the GES community, you must read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions on this page.
USE OF SITE
You may use the Site only in accordance with and subject to these Terms of Use. Once you complete and submit your registration you have opted-in to receive email communication from us and in order to remain a member of this Site, you must agree to receive email from us.
You must also authorize GES to charge the credit or debit card you have entered on this site for the hammer price of an item which you were the high bidder, plus the buyer's premium, in some cases shipping & handling, and all applicable sales tax. Your card will be charged within 24 hours of the auction end. Failure to keep valid credit card information on file will result in your use of the site being terminated.
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
GES requires each bidder to register online with Auction Ninja before placing any bids. A valid major credit card will be required. By becoming a REGISTERED member you represent that you are of legal age. As a member, you agree to provide true accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Site’s registration forms. In addition, as a member, you agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid credit card info within your membership profile so long as you maintain an account with GES.
Please go to the Auction Ninja website and read carefully the terms of service. That will enable you to have a good bidding experience and answer many questions you have.
BUYERS CONTRACT
Bids placed on the GES auction are a binding contractual agreement and obligation to pay. You are responsible for paying all amounts due to GES including sale price, buyer's premium, in some cases shipping & handling, and all applicable state taxes. Please do not bid if you are unable to pay and take possession of the items in the specified time periods for each auction, sale or event. Any items won and not paid for by noon following of the auction close are eligible for sale to underbidder(s). All sales are final. No returns, credits or exchanges.
ITEM DESCRIPTIONS
Most of the items GES sells are antique, vintage or used. While GES will do its best to list any damage, repairs or restorations, the absence of these descriptions or conditions must not be taken to imply that the lot is in perfect condition. You should expect signs of wear consistent with age. Condition reports may be available upon request and may be given as a courtesy to the bidder.
All property is sold as-is, where-is and neither GES nor the Consignor make any warranties or representations of any kind, or nature, with respect to the property, and in no event shall they be responsible for the correctness, nor deemed to have made any representation or warranty, of description, authenticity, attribution, provenance, age or condition of the property. No statement in the description, made at the sale, on the bill of sale or invoice, or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty or representation or an assumption of liability.
All sales are final. No returns, credits or exchanges. Please review all photos carefully prior to bidding.
BUYERS PREMIUM
A buyer’s premium of 15-18% (noted on each auction) will be added to the hammer price in all auctions and will be charged along with the hammer prices and applicable sales tax to the credit or debit card you have on file with GES within 24 hours of the auction end.
PAYMENT
ALL WINNING BIDDERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO GIVE ID.
Upon the close of the online auction, title to the offered lot passes to the highest bidder who thereupon (a) assumes full risk and responsibility therefore, and (b) will pay the full purchase price therefore, or such part as GES may require. GES is not responsible for technical issues or loss of internet connection. In cases where your internet connection is lost, GES will not stop the auction while your internet connection is re-established.
Payment credit cards will be processed within 24 hours of the lot closing, all lots must be paid in full (including buyer’s premium, if applicable) prior to picking up the lot, and in some cases shipping.
No article shall be delivered to a buyer until a paid receipt has been presented. GES will not make deliveries. Buyers may on request facilitate the employment of carriers and packers for the buyer's account, however, GES will not be responsible for their acts in any respect whatsoever.
If payment in full is not made within 24 hours of the auction close, GES has the discretion to pursue one or more of the following options: a.) award lot to the next highest bidder. b.) resell the lot by public or private sale c.) cancel the sale of the lot entirely. d.) bidder’s name and information may be shared with bidding platforms as a “bidder in default”.
SALES TAX
All sales are subject to appropriate sales tax laws. Tax exempt buyers must provide the appropriate state sales tax exemption certificate PRIOR to the end of the sale. Upon receipt of such information by GES, your future purchases will not be taxed. Tax resale forms can be submitted in your membership profile. Your profile name and address must be the same as your resale certificate. You must upload to your Auction Ninja account BEFORE BIDDING ONLY!
RETENTION OF CREDIT CARD INFORMATION

PICK-UP & SHIPPING
ALL WINNING BIDDERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO GIVE ID. The shipping address must match what is on the buyers credit card and ID, or we will not ship. Please update BEFORE BIDDING.
Winning bidders must pick up their lot at the designated sale location within the assigned time frame as stated in the Pick-Up & Shipping Details tab within the auction and / or on their invoice.
**There is No flexibility on the PickUp dates**
GES only ships in-house using USPS flat rate shipping with a handling fee of $10 and USPS shipping fees. Not all items available for shipping. Please inquire first and not assume. The items must fit in a priority flat rate USPS box.
All other shipping must be arranged with a third party by the buyer. We recommend The UPS Store at 100 Andover Park W, #150 Tukwila WA. You must contact them via email art.upsstore5819@gmail.com, we do not contact for you. They charge a $25 fee to pick up your items from our location on top off their rates.
Special terms for jewelry: unless coupled with another non-jewelry auction purchase,. Jewelry is Shipping only auctions, however if you are local you can arrange to pick up at the warehouse. Please contact us after you win.
Jewelry handling fees are $5.00. Insurance depends on purchase price.
In-house shipping prices are as follows + handling fees and insurance (dependent on purchase price):
Flat rate small box - $10.70
Flat rate medium box - $17.60
Flat rate large box - $23.30
Flat rate padded envelope - $10.90
GES will not be responsible for loss or damage of purchased lots handled or shipped, nor for acts and omissions, by third party shippers, whether recommended by us or not. GES will not release the lot for shipment until payment has been made in full and ID has been received. Winning bids may not be retracted, canceled or rescinded due to issues with shipping including, but not limited to, costs or prohibitions. It is the responsibility of the bidder to account for shipping prior to bidding.
In some cases we have specific auctions where pick-up is at a private residence. In these cases, it will be clearly stated on the auction prior to bidding. For these particular auctions, if you miss the pick-up days you forfeit your items. We DO NOT move items from the private residence to our warehouse to store for pick-up at a later time.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS regarding the shipping or receipt of ivory, taxidermy and firearms. GES will not alter packing slips or lot descriptions or the price paid listed on the same. If you choose to bid on an item that is later seized by customs, GES. is not liable for any costs or refunds. If you are not sure about your local rules and regulations, please do not place bids on any item that might be in violation of your country's rules and regulations.
We do not ship internationally. GES will ship all items with tracking, no exceptions.
FAILURE TO PICK-UP & STORAGE
Lots must be picked-up on scheduled pick up date or shipped by a third party. The day after the last day of pick-up, GES has the right to charge the winning bidder a daily storage fee of $10 per lot per day. Lots that have been paid for, but remain on our premises from the close of the auction are considered forfeited by the winning bidder will not be compensated in any way.
Lots left with GES after the final pick-up day are stored at the buyer’s risk.
NOTE ABOUT EXTENDED BIDDING & “SOFT CLOSE”
GES online auctions feature extended bidding (a.k.a. "soft close"). It is the closest way to mimic the actions of a live auction in an online/automated format. During a live auction, bidders have opportunities to increase their bids before hammering the winning bid. Our online, automated system will automatically extend the closing time of a lot whenever a bid is placed within the last five minutes of its scheduled closing to allow other interested bidders an opportunity to increase their bid. This may occur multiple times on any given lot depending on bidder interest. Once all interest and bidding in a lot ceases, the clock will run out and the lot will close.
