Amazing Mid-Century Modern Hardwood Dining Table with two included Leaves, beautiful condition. Sturdy hardwood construction, with lots of metal to ensure that the leaves keep working as intended for centuries to come. Measurements: Table withOUT leaves is 55" Long, ranging from 34.5" to 35.75" wide in the center (the table gets wider in the middle), and 29" high. The Leaves range in width from 32.75" at their narrowest (closest to the edge) to 34.25" at the point where they touch the edge of the table. The leaves are each 22.5" long, so deployed together, they make the entire table have a length of 100.5". With one leaf only the table is 78" long.
About the brand: I have searched this table high and low with a flashlight in hand. I cannot find the maker. It *does* seem similar to this one:
https://midcenturywarehouse.com/kurt-ostervig-style-mid-century-teak-hidden-leaf-dining-table-3
but mine is much cooler--on the one I am selling, you literally CANNOT see the hidden leaves AT ALL when the table is in the closed position, because the top OVERLAPS the leaves and completely covers them. MUCH classier than the one I just linked to.
This table comes with a clear plastic protector sheet; the very same one that has protected this table from damage for decades. It's pretty heavy duty, but completely transparent, so you can still appreciate the wood of the tabletop while using it. It hides nothing, in other words!
Please to note that the color of the leaves is significantly different from that of the tabletop, but that's because they've been under the table, protected from all light, for 99.999% of their time on Earth. They're still beautiful, but the two leaves match only each other; they don't really match the color of the tabletop (see pics).
Update, day of closing: I just crawled around under the table with a flashlight, took my time, still was unable to locate a maker-name. HOWEVER I noticed while down there that the leave look gorgeous from the bottom as well--not that anyone other than small children would ever see them--and I thought it was important, and beautiful enough, to take some pics of and include in the sale. Hopefully their beauty comes across--it was a much-less-than-optimal picture-taking environment.
I have also taken the liberty of prepping the table for transport--that's what those other pics are of, the table ready to go--by placing a big piece of cardboard on its top and then securing the table-top with with two perpendicular straps of Velcro OneWrap that are basically "hand-tightened" meaning I just created some tension and stuck them together. Also note that the straps are stuck to each other as well. Should make the table MUCH easier to transport, requiring only a minivan or pickup truck, I would say.
