This is a STUNNING original chinoiserie coffee table by renowned artisans/designers, Phillip & Kelvin LaVerne. The colors are striking, the forms meticulously crafted and the presentation breathtaking!
This father and son team are internationally known and sought after for their remarkable pieces which have previously been purchased by individuals such as Mrs. Dale Carnegie, O Roy Chalk, Robert W. Sarnoff and Melanie Kahane to name a few.
The round coffee table rests upon an octagonal brass pedestal. This exquisitely designed piece measures 36 inches round with a height of 17 inches.
The designs are worked in bas-relief, cut through a thin sheet of bronze laid atop a leaf of pewter and a second piece of bronze. The metal "sandwich" is then lowered into a vat of "secret" soil imported from the Far East to rest for about six weeks. When the desired color appears on the metals, the process is halted.
To own a piece such as this would be a true reflection of one's discerning artistic preferences and keen eye for exceptional quality!
