Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympics Torch with Globe
Authentic Olympic torch with the original intact and complete glass globe. 32.5″ in length and 3.5″ at its widest point. Made silvered metal, copper, and glass. The handle is engraved with the motto of the games, "Light the fire within," and a raised emblem of the games appears near the top. This particular torch (#154) was carried in Cambridge MA in December 2001. Originates from the collection of a Winter Olympic participant from a South American country. The consignor wishes that the name not be public, but the name of the participant will be provided to the high bidder (he is well known and has an extensive wiki page). Fine condition with no flaws of note.
