Rare Ceramic "Bols" Liqueurs Counter-Top Display, Amsterdam, and a Metal Schmidt's Display, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1950s. The Dutch gentleman in 17th- century attire wearing a ruffled collar and Van Dyke beard, holding a glass aloft beneath the sign inscribed "BOLS Liqueurs" and above "Since 1575," the front of the base inscribed "29 Delicious Liqueurs;" the Schmidt's display a figure of a bartender holding two beer/ ale mugs, inscribed on the front of the base "Schmidt's/ of Philadelphia/ Since 1880."
