Item Description

Anglo-Indian Carved Hardwood Center Table, Late 19th-Early 20th Century. The plain square top edged with dotted circles within a wide border carved in relief with flowering tendrils and curved long-stemmed flowers, a leaf at each corner, above the flared matching apron with scalloped and beaded edge, raised on serpentine legs carved with pine needles and leaves entwined by serpents, continuing to scales and ending in mythological beast heads, joined by an X-form stretcher of diamond diaper-cut scrolls, centered by a peacock finial.
