Item Description

Collection of four (4) holiday brooches and one pair of clip on holly earrings.
Largest measures 2.5" long.

Maker’s marks include Rafaelian and JJ (Jonette Jewelry).

Rafaelian
Ralph (Raffi) Rafaelian was born on January 3, 1935. He was the son of Armenian immigrants who settled in Rhode Island when they came to America. After serving in the military, he worked for his brother-in-law in his jewelry business. In 1966, he opened his own company, Cinerama Jewelry, in Providence, Rhode Island. He later moved the company to Cranston, Rhode Island.
JJ (Jonette Jewelry)
J.J. was the registered trademark of the Jonette Jewelry Company. When first founded by Abraham Lisker in 1935, it was named Providence Jewelry Company. When his brother Nathan joined the company, the name was changed to Lisker and Lisker, Inc. Because of WWII, production ceased, then restarted after the war. At this time, the company was renamed Jonette Jewelry - mark JJ.
