Empire Revival Mahogany Cheval Mirror With Urn Finials & Column Supports Late 20th C.

A tall, freestanding cheval-style mirror in rich mahogany with refined neoclassical/Empire influence. The rectangular mirror plate is framed by a clean, mitered mahogany surround and supported between two slender turned front columns capped with gilt collars. Above, a triangular pediment crest with urn finials and a central gilt brass inlay adds architectural presence. The mirror stands on gracefully splayed saber legs joined by a shaped stretcher, giving the piece a light yet formal stance. The warm, reddish-brown mahogany veneer shows attractive figure and a polished sheen, suited to traditional or Federal-revival interiors.

Condition Very good vintage condition overall. Mahogany frame retains a rich, even finish with light surface wear consistent with age and normal use (minor scuffs and edge rubs).
