A substantial early-20th-century mahogany library or work table featuring a rectilinear trestle base with square, chamfered legs joined by a full-length lower shelf stretcher. The apron is veneered in figured (flame) mahogany, showing dramatic ribbon and plume grain typical of period veneers. The top has a molded edge with a softly overhanging profile. Overall finish is a deep reddish-brown with age-appropriate patina, minor edge wear, and small veneer losses consistent with use.
Transitional Arts & Crafts / Mission-influenced American furniture, circa 1900–1920. The straight architecture, exposed massing, and stretcher shelf align with Mission taste, while the figured mahogany veneer and refined molding reflect more traditional Edwardian/American Classical influence—common in quality library tables of this period.
