Offered is an original signed etching by noted Cape Cod artist Carol Travers Lummus, titled “Mediocrity is Genuine”. Artist signed and dated ’79 in pencil. This print features her signature whimsical illustrative style and unique line work, done using brass presses which she is known for. Carol Travers Lummus creates charming, humorous, and often socially reflective etchings – typically inspired by Victorian era visual themes and stylized character depiction.

This particular image shows a wonderfully expressive cat-like figure with a massive fluffy textured head of hair – humorous, imaginative, and full of character, just as her collected works are admired for.
