Antique 19th Century French Style Gilt Mantel Clock W/ Chime 14" H Untested

autiful antique mantel clock dating to the 1850–1899 period, featuring an ornate gilt metal case in the French style. This decorative timepiece showcases elaborate scrollwork, acanthus detailing, and a richly embellished architectural form.

The circular dial features Roman numerals with a red and white chapter ring, and a decorative painted panel inset below the dial depicting a pastoral scene. The open rear reveals the internal bell chime mechanism.
The clock is fitted with a rear-mounted bell for striking. The underside shows original interior components and age-related wear consistent with antique construction.
Untested – selling as found. Functionality unknown. Case shows age-appropriate wear, patina, and surface marks. Interior shows dust and age. No key present (if applicable). Please review all photos carefully for condition details.
