This box was found with the following contents. Two late 19th century original shipping merchant Captain's logs for the Arcadia and other nautical boats. They mention sailing between New York, Barbados, South Carolina, and other locations. Also included as a binder full of letters to family, notes, port of call documents, Cards, and information on a famous paintings of the boats. With info on artist William Pierce Stubbs and Antonio Jacobson. A time capsule of history with a compilation of information including newspapers articles and clipper sailing ship information. Wood box is painted light green with an I'D name to underside of lid.

Notes: Original merchant logs have brittle pages and are falling apart. But can be viewed and restored.
