Vintage Italian Florentine Triptych Icon Madonna And Child, Mid-20th Century

Vintage Italian giltwood folding triptych featuring a central roundel depicting the Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist, after a Renaissance master. The flanking panels are richly decorated with incised and gilt geometric and floral motifs, with shaped tops and hinged construction allowing the piece to fold closed.
The reverse is stamped “MADE IN ITALY,” consistent with mid-20th-century Italian devotional or decorative export pieces. Finished in warm gilt and bronze tones.
Measures 11.75" x 15.5" when opened, closed 7.75" x 11.75"
Condition: age-appropriate wear, surface and gilt losses, patina etc.
