Vintage Hand-Carved Coot Wooden Duck Decoy With Iron Keel Weight

Early hand-carved wooden duck decoy featuring a rounded head, slightly upturned tail, and original dark-painted surface with visible age wear. Retains inset glass eyes and a yellow-painted bill. The body shows layered, weathered paint with areas of loss revealing earlier finishes and wood beneath, giving it strong character. Underside fitted with an old iron strap keel weight, indicating use as a working decoy.
Measures 16".
Condition: Heavily worn with paint loss, surface abrasions, and age-related wear throughout. Missing one glass eye. Iron keel shows oxidation.
