Offered is a decorative group of Victorian-era Valentine cards, dating to the late 19th century. The lot includes finely die-cut and embossed examples with chromolithographed imagery, lace-style paperwork, gilt highlights, and romantic motifs such as cherubs, hearts, florals, and pastoral scenes. One card features an applied lace surround with dimensional elements; another includes a fringed textile border with a floral centerpiece.
Several cards retain interior verse panels with period poetry. These are classic examples of Victorian sentimental paper ephemera, produced during the golden age of Valentine card making.
