Irving B. Haynes (1927-2005) was well known in Rhode Island as an abstract painter, architect of the restoration of many important local historic buildings, and a professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. The Newport Art Museum presented a retrospective exhibition of his work in 2009.
Matted ink/pen abstract drawing. Mexico.
Signed lower right and on back.
Measures 16.5" x 13.25", overall 23" x 19.25".
