Original antique 18th-century engraving by Italian master Giovanni Battista Piranesi, depicting an ornate classical chimneypiece decorated with caryatids, sculptural ornament, and a central clock.
The inscription notes that the marble elements were assembled by Piranesi and seen in the collection of Cavaliere Giovanni Hope in Holland.
