The scene depicts two young girls in a pastoral setting playfully tossing “snowballs” of blossoms beneath a flowering shrub, rendered in soft, delicate color typical of late 19th-century children’s book and print illustration.
Signed in the plate lower right “Maud Humphrey ‘93,” with title printed below the image.
Measures 8" x 12", overall 13" x 18".
