Early 19th-century hand-colored satirical engraving titled “Songs.” The humorous composition features several lively caricature scenes illustrating popular drinking and tavern song themes, including dancing figures and comic characters with captions such as “Wine does wonders” and “And the poor and needy jolly.”
Measures 9" x 11", overall 15" x 17".
Matted and framed under glass.
Condition: Good antique condition with age toning, scattered foxing, and light wear consistent with age. Frame with minor wear.
