Antique Austrian cold-painted bronze sculpture by Franz Xaver Bergman, depicting a seated Arab scribe reading a scroll, set on a textured base with hieroglyphic motifs. Rich polychrome details highlight the robe and turban, with naturalistic black patina to the skin.
Signed with Bergman’s “B” in urn mark and impressed model number.
Early 20th century. Measures 5.25" W x 3.73" H.
Condition: Good vintage condition with some paint wear and oxidation.
