Antique late 19th to early 20th century hand-carved wooden duck decoy in classic working form, featuring a simple, block-carved body with a separately attached head and inset tack eyes. The surface shows a heavily worn, original dark paint with areas of exposed wood, giving it an appealing, honest field-used character.

Condition: Heavy wear consistent with prolonged use, including paint loss, surface abrasions, and edge wear. Age-related shrinkage and minor separation at the neck joint. Iron weight and hardware with oxidation. Structurally solid and displays well with excellent rustic character.
