Antique hand-colored lithograph titled “Right Whaling" , drawn by noted American maritime artist Benjamin Russell. The scene depicts two 19th-century whaling ships processing a right whale at sea, rendered in soft grays and blues with fine detailing.
Presented in an early wood frame with gilt liner. The print shows expected age toning, foxing, and a vertical discoloration line, but remains well-preserved for its age. Frame shows light wear consistent with age; wooden plank backing appears original.
Overall a strong example of classic New England whaling imagery.
Dimensions: approx.25" x 29" overall.
Condition: age toning, foxing, frame wear; displays well.
