Antique French-style chair commode featuring a carved wood frame with painted finish and hand-woven cane panels to the back, seat, and sides. The hinged seat opens to reveal the interior chamber compartment (pot not present). Elegant cabriole-style legs and shaped crest rail reflect Louis XV–inspired design.
Measures 35" x 23".
Condition: Good antique condition overall with expected wear to finish and cane, surface marks and aging consistent with use. A decorative and functional 19th–early 20th century bedroom or boudoir piece.
