Antique heavy brass spring-driven clock movement, likely late 19th to early 20th century, intended for use in a mantel or shelf clock case. The movement features a half-hour strike mechanism designed to sound on a bell (bell not included).
Constructed with substantial brass plates, steel arbors, and visible gear trains, this is a classic silk thread / cord-driven style movement commonly found in European and American mantel clocks of the period.
When handled, internal components move and a lever flips, suggesting the movement is responsive, though it has not been fully tested for timekeeping accuracy or strike function.
