Item Description

Antique wax document seal with a cast brass handle and seal face, fitted with a gilt porcelain shaft decorated in burgundy enamel with hand-applied gold and cartouche motifs. The brass matrix is engraved with the monogram “F.P.” for use in sealing wax. Likely late 19th century, with age-appropriate patina and wear.
Measures 3-3/8" tall.
