Antique 19th Century Turned Scrimshaw Pickwick Form, Ink-Decorated

Antique turned bone object with incised red and black decoration, in a Pickwick-type form. Scrimshaw-style work with hollow interior and removable top. Appears to be a Pickwick, though exact function not confirmed.
Such objects are commonly associated with maritime folk art traditions, often made by sailors, and may have served as a wax seal, needle case, or small container.
Measures 5.5" tall, weight 185 grams.
The surface displays a warm, natural patina with visible grain and age toning consistent with genuine bone.
