Antique 19th C. Spool-Turned Childs High Chair

Charming late 19th-century American child’s high chair featuring a beautifully detailed spool-turned (bobbin-turned) frame with decorative ball finials and angled backrest spindles. The solid wooden seat is perforated for ventilation and retains a rich, aged patina.
An excellent example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, blending playful design and functionality with sculptural appeal. The tall, narrow form and elevated seat indicate it was intended for a child.
Measures 41" tall by 18" wide.
