Offered is an antique 19th-century Chinese Export gouache painting on pith paper, likely from the Canton school, depicting a seated dignitary or mandarin attended by a court figure presenting an embroidered fan.
Executed in bright mineral pigments with fine detailing typical of export works produced for the Western market during the Qing dynasty period. Mounted with woven mat in a later frame.
