Early American schoolbook: Daboll’s Schoolmaster’s Assistant, improved and enlarged edition, published in Utica by Gardiner Tracy, 1837. A classic 19th-century arithmetic text widely used in American schools, authored by Nathan Daboll, with additions by Samuel Green.
Bound in original full leather boards. Includes period handwritten inscriptions, ownership marks, and ink doodles (including a small sailing ship), along with faint early stamps. Title page present and legible.
Measures 6-3/8" x 3-7/8".
Condition: antique condition with age-related wear. Leather binding shows rubbing and edge loss; pages exhibit toning, staining, and handling wear throughout. Structurally intact and complete.
