Item Description

Decorative hand-colored ornithological print depicting the Boat-tailed Grackle (Quiscalus major), shown perched among live oak foliage. Executed in the style of classic 19th-century natural history illustrations after John James Audubon, with detailed botanical and avian rendering and printed caption identifying species and habitat (Live Oak – Quercus virens).
Print is a later reproduction after the original Audubon plate (Plate 187), produced for decorative display. Presented in a gilt wood frame under glass.
Measures 11" x 9" overall.
Good condition with some wear.
