19th C. Chinese Canton Carved Figural Card Case

Intricately hand-carved figural snuff box depicting detailed Chinese garden and courtyard scenes populated with scholars, attendants, pavilions, bridges, trees, and flowing robes. Both front and reverse are deeply carved in relief, showing multiple narrative vignettes with architectural and landscape elements framed by a decorative border.
The box opens at the center seam and reveals a hollowed interior.
Measures 3.5" x 2.25, weight 70 grams.
