Item Description

Working off and on—so neat! This very colorful toy, made from 1898 to 1935, was quite popular. When wound, the beetle's wings flutter, and it crawls along the surface. So GREAT!
A clockwork motor powers these toys and was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Made of tinplate, a thin sheet of steel coated with tin.
Contains a torsion spring that stores energy when wound up and releases it to create movement.
