An early 20th-century set of dental diagnostic tools used transillumination, a technique that illuminates tissues with a bright light to detect issues such as cracked teeth or soft-tissue tumors. Manufactured around 1916 by Cameron's Surgical Specialty Co., the kit comprises a black cylindrical vitalitester (power source), multiple glass surgilites (light applicators), mirrors, and a magnifying glass, all stored in a carrying case lined with purple velvet. untested
