Edison phonograph, an early device for recording and reproducing sound. The phonograph was invented by Thomas Edison in 1877 and was his favorite invention.
Needs new needle, easy to buy and change.
The record on the phonograph is an Edison Diamond Disc, which plays at a speed of 80 RPM, unlike the more common 78 RPM records of the era.
The phonograph is a floor model, likely from the early 20th century, a used, antique item with signs of wear and tear.
Edison's phonograph was initially a cylinder-based system, but by 1915, the company had largely transitioned to disc records.
