Steve DeMasco knows the new rules. Growing up in the trenches of a challenged and underprivileged background, he learned not merely how to survive but to thrive. He overcame many obstacles; triumphing in the face of extreme adversity, he provides a role model for adults and children alike.
Recognized by former President Bill Clinton and the United States Secretary of Education Richard Riley as one of our nation’s Educational Heroes; he is the founder of the Kids for Life Foundation, the Strength and Honor Foundation, a published author, accomplished speaker, community leader, the Ambassador and disciple to the Shaolin Temple in China, and a 10th degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo.
Secretary of State Colin Powell enlisted DeMasco’s participation in the U.S. Department of Education’s “Presidential Summit”. He was appointed by Governor John Rowland to serve on the Connecticut State Commission on National and Community Service. He has spoken at Harvard and Yale Universities about violence and the problems our society faces and was instrumental in creating a program linking the U.S. Department of Education with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
As a means to teach children respect, discipline, and self-control, Steve created the Cool Karate School book series, selling over 400,000 copies as well as The Shaolin Way: a life story/ Eastern Philosophy book published by Harper Collins. He has been instrumental in developing motivational programs to keep children interested in education, as well as programs created to mitigate the violence and aggression that can hamper both adults and youth.
Steve combines his hard-earned life lessons and training in the martial arts with his formal education with a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Philosophy, to create his unique approach. Whether it is working with educators, business and political leaders, or challenged communities, his message transcends boundaries.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Winney Auction & Appraisal LLC
These Terms and Conditions apply to all auctions conducted by Winney Auction & Appraisal LLC (“we,” “us,” or ...view more“the Auction Company”) and supplement the AuctionNinja User Agreement. By registering to bid or placing a bid, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. All sales are final.

1. Binding Contract & Bidding
Placing a bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase the lot at the bid price (plus any applicable buyer’s premium, taxes, and fees) if you are the winning bidder.
All bids are irrevocable. You may not retract or cancel a bid once placed.
We and/or the seller reserve the right to withdraw, modify, or cancel any lot or auction at any time before the sale is finalized, at our sole discretion.
In the event of a dispute between bidders, the Auction Company’s decision is final.
2. “As-Is, Where-Is” Sale – No Warranties
All items are sold “AS-IS, WHERE-IS” with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, condition, authenticity, or description.
Descriptions, condition reports, and photographs are provided for convenience only and are the opinion of the seller or Auction Company. They are not statements of fact and should not be relied upon as such.
The absence of a condition report does not imply the item is in perfect condition or free from defects, wear, damage, or the effects of aging.
Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect items in person or ask questions before bidding. All further inquiries regarding condition must be directed to Winney Auction & Appraisal LLC prior to the auction close.
We and the seller shall have no liability for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any description or condition statement.
3. Payment Terms
All payments are processed through AuctionNinja.com via its third-party billing service unless other arrangements are pre-approved by us.
We may accept PayPal, Venmo, or cash (for in-person pickup) only if pre-arranged and approved.
Full payment is due immediately upon auction close (or as specified in the auction details).
We will charge the credit card on file and ship (or release for pickup) to the address on file unless other arrangements are made in advance.
Any unpaid balance may result in cancellation of the sale, forfeiture of the items, and pursuit of all available remedies, including legal action for collection.
4. Shipping
Shipping is available for most items, but not guaranteed for all.
In-house shipping: We can ship smaller items (those that fit within the size of a USPS large flat-rate box) when we have capacity to bulk ship. Larger, multi-lot or heavier items cannot be shipped in-house.
Third-party shipping: For items that cannot be shipped in-house, we will facilitate transport to The Shipping Shack (63 Emerald St, Keene, NH 03431, (603) 352-4249) at no additional charge from our location. All actual shipping costs, packaging, and insurance will be billed directly by the third-party shipper.
If you choose to use your own shipping carrier, they must pick up the items during our scheduled pickup hours/days. We do not deliver or coordinate off-site pickups outside our designated times.
Insurance: Items valued at $100 or less include standard insurance. Items valued over $100 will have shipping insurance (via USPS or UPS) added to the shipping fees.
We are not responsible for loss, damage, or delays once items leave our possession and are transferred to the carrier.
5. In-Person Pickup
Unless shipping is selected and available, all lots are expected to be picked up in person.
Free local pickup is available, (Address will be included in winning email) during the designated pickup days and hours listed in your winning bidder email/notification.
You must bring your own packing and transportation materials (boxes, bubble wrap, dollies, etc.) as needed.
Pickup must occur within the specified time frame. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture (see below).
6. Forfeiture & Abandoned Items
Any items not picked up or for which shipping payment has not been made within the assigned time frame will be considered forfeited and abandoned.
If no alternate agreement is reached with us at least one (1) day before the deadline, we may retain the item(s) without refund or reimbursement to the buyer.
A $10 restocking fee per lot will be charged to the credit card on file for any abandoned lot after the deadline passes.
We reserve the right to resell, dispose of, or otherwise handle abandoned items as we see fit, with no further obligation to the buyer.
7. General Provisions
Taxes: Buyers are responsible for all applicable sales tax, use tax, or other governmental charges.
Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of bidding will apply to that auction.
Severability: If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
Governing Law: These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cheshire County, New Hampshire.
