Nova Orbis Tabula World Map Print

Decorative print of the historic “Nova Orbis Tabula” world map, originally associated with 17th-century Dutch cartography. The composition features two large hemispheres displaying the Americas on one side and Europe, Africa, and Asia on the other, with smaller polar projections above and below. Surrounding the maps are detailed allegorical scenes and figures representing exploration, trade, and the continents. The continents are highlighted in muted hand-colored tones including green, yellow, and rose against a finely gridded background. Matted and housed in a substantial dark wood frame with stepped molding.

Condition:
Print appears clean with visible toning consistent with age. Colors remain clear and well defined. Mat shows light discoloration. Frame exhibits surface wear, including scuffs and small finish losses along the edges. Overall good decorative condition.
