This 19th century sword is in very good condition made by Joseph Starkey of Conduit Street, London. It holds the plaque of rear admiral C.S Boggs who was appointed in 1926 the Boston Navy Yard and was involved with the Mexican war and Civil War. The sword itself has wonderful engravings with USN and an American shield. The serpent tip sheath and handle are impressive for it age. It comes with two photographs and information about the Admiral. Please see photos.
