Rare Aesthetic Bed C. 1880

This is a rare American Aesthetic Period bed in the style of the Herter Brothers, circa 1880. The primary woods are of figured chestnut and ash. The inlaid designs are rosewood, ebony, olive wood, satinwood, amboyna and several others. The bed came from an affluent Newport Rhode Island estate. It is in excellent condition. The dimensions for the bed are: 80” tall x 80 1/2” long x 60” wide. There are two other matching pieces also up for auction. One is a cheval dressing mirror and the other is a dresser with mirror and marble top. The set is a very fine and rare Aesthetic bedroom suite in excellent condition.
