This is a fine American Walnut Renaissance Revival Desk c. 1865. The desk is made of walnut with raised burl panels with intricate carvings. It is a rare trestle desk form. The writing surface mechanically extends out, creating a larger writing surface. It is a very high quality desk in excellent condition.
The dimensions are: 54" tall x 53" wide x 24 1/4" deep with writing surface closed and is 28 1/2" deep with writing surface extended, the tabletop height is: 29".
