Antique two-man crosscut saw, often referred to as a "lumberjack saw" or "wide belly saw".
Historically used by two people to fell trees or buck logs (cut them into manageable lengths).
Features a long, heavy steel blade with large teeth designed to cut wood across the grain.
Equipped with removable wooden handles, allowing it to be operated by two people, or sometimes by one person with a special auxiliary handle.
Commonly found today as vintage tools for collectors, decorative wall art, or repurposed for woodworking projects. This piece has a distressed finish in one of the handles is broken, adding to its character.
