Item Description

Vintage Japanese Imari porcelain platter.
It features a distinctive octagonal or rectangular shape with canted corners.
The decoration typically includes floral patterns in red, blue, and gold tones.
Often, these platters depict a central scene, such as a traditional Japanese rickshaw (jinrikisha) surrounded by peonies.
These decorative wares were famously produced in Arita, Japan, for export, particularly during the Meiji period.
