"Robert Zeidman (1915- 20 ) was an Industrial Designer and prominent 20th Century sculptor. This piece was a gift from Marjorie Zeidman, the artist's wife, who was a friend and neighbor of the owner while their families were living in Mamaroneck. The sculpture, made of black anodized aluminum, has a graceful, columnar, vase-like form with organic qualities. Zeidman's work ranges from formal, dark Totemic-like themes to colorful, whimsical forms, is found in private and corporate collections, including the Seagram Corporation and Nelson Rockefeller.
