"Mexican Landscape" Original Pen and Ink Drawing, 1956 by Guillermo Meza (1917 - 1997) was Mexican painter and the son of indigenous shamanistic healers. While largely self-taught, Meza developed an exceptional and unique technique in drawing. Discovered and subsequently promoted by Diego Rivera, Meza showed at the International Exposition of Surrealism in 1940. Known for his fantastical landscapes and distorted figures, often intended as social commentary. "Mexican Landscape", an exceptional tour de force in pen and ink, focusing on three tiny burdened figures escaping an imaginary, inhospitable landscape. This is an exceptional opportunity to own an original piece of art by Guillermo Meza, whos work is in the collections of art museums, world-wide.
