American Saltglaze Stoneware Cobalt Blue-Decorated Crock and a Jar. Comprising a Massachusetts crock, F.B. Norton & Co., circa 1870, painted with a flower blossom, impressed "F.B. NORTON & CO./ WORCESTER, MASS;" and a Pennsylvania jar, F.H. Cowden, Harrisburg, circa 1880, stencilled with a star in diamonds and spots, impressed "F.H. COWDEN/ HARRISBURG" beside the numeral "2," the terminals of the applied lug handles heightened in cobalt blue, both interiors in Albany glaze.
