Item Description

Beautiful vintage carnival glass covered butter dish with matching underplate featuring a raised grape and vine pattern. The dish has a striking iridescent blue/purple finish that reflects shades of violet, teal, and gold depending on the light.

The domed lid features a decorative finial handle and molded panels around the top, while the base plate has a scalloped floral edge that complements the design. The sides of the cover display detailed clusters of grapes and large vine leaves, a classic carnival glass motif.

Carnival glass pieces like this were produced by several American glass companies and remain popular with collectors for their rich color and pressed decorative patterns.
